Before You Share Online, Try These 4 Simple Steps:

  1. Reread what you’ve written before you hit send or post.

  2. Pause for a moment - make sure this is something you truly want to share.

  3. Ask yourself: Does this message feel thoughtful, intentional, and purposeful?

  4. Check in with yourself: How are you feeling right now, emotionally and physically? What signals or cues is your body giving you?

And Remember: If you are feeling angry, frustrated, jealous, sad, or overwhelmed, or experiencing any other negative emotion, it may help to pause and wait before posting. You can always choose to share later, when you feel clearer and calmer.
